Personal Training at Shift
At Shift we view personal trainers as a vital part of the health team, but we are also very aware of the fact that personal trainers are not trained medical professionals. This is one of the primary reasons why we offer personal training as an option for our clients. Our team of licensed Physical Therapists has an extensive background in the movement arts combined with clinical experience and understanding of the latest science in movement, strength and conditioning. This helps distinguish us as elite personal trainers.
Many of our clients prefer more traditional personal training approaches focused on conditioning or sports-specific training, while others enjoy learning learning about how their bodies can move and improve. We teach the fundamentals of breathing, balance or core strengthening and offer personal instruction in yoga, pilates, or tai chi.
Personal training can serve as a bridge to help you gain confidence to return to the gym or sport and recreational activities. For many it can serve as a way to further mind/body awareness.
